ToyRental.ca is an online advertising, listing, communication, booking request, and connection platform. ToyRental.ca allows users to advertise items for rent and allows other users to discover, request, and arrange rentals directly with those listing owners.

By creating an account, posting a listing, requesting a rental, approving a rental, sending a message, paying a ToyRental.ca fee, submitting a report, contacting support, requesting a refund or credit, or otherwise using ToyRental.ca, you agree to this Contact and Support Policy.

If you do not agree with this policy, do not use ToyRental.ca.

15. Account Support

ToyRental.ca support may assist with account-related platform issues, including login issues, email verification, password reset, profile access, notification issues, suspected unauthorized access, account restrictions, account suspension, and account closure requests.

  • The request involves another user’s account.
  • The account is under review.
  • The account is restricted or suspended for safety, fraud, payment, legal, privacy, or policy reasons.

Privacy requests are governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable privacy law.

ToyRental.ca may need to verify a user’s identity before responding to privacy-related requests.

ToyRental.ca may refuse, limit, redact, or delay certain privacy responses where permitted or required by law, including where disclosure would reveal another person’s personal information, confidential business information, legal privilege, security information, fraud prevention information, internal moderation records, or information that cannot be disclosed for legal reasons.

Privacy questions may be sent to:

ToyRental.ca Privacy Officer
Email: [insert-privacy-email]

ToyRental.ca may remove, restrict, hide, edit, require changes to, or reduce visibility of listings where ToyRental.ca believes a listing violates law, policy, safety expectations, platform rules, or user trust.

ToyRental.ca’s decision to allow a listing to remain on the platform does not mean ToyRental.ca has inspected, tested, certified, approved, verified, insured, or guaranteed the item.

18. Booking Support

ToyRental.ca support may review platform issues involving booking requests, booking status, approvals, declines, cancellations, expired requests, checkout status, contact release, messaging access, and technical issues affecting bookings.

ToyRental.ca support does not guarantee that a host will approve a request, that a renter will proceed, that an item will be available, that a rental will happen, that an item will be safe, or that users will comply with rental terms.

Booking-related disputes between host and renter are generally user-to-user disputes and are governed by the Rental Agreement Notice, Cancellation Policy, Dispute Resolution Policy, and applicable user-to-user rental terms.

Payment issues involving rental money paid directly between host and renter must be handled directly between users or through their payment provider, bank, card issuer, insurer, legal advisor, court, or other available remedy.

20. Rental Money, Deposits, and User-to-User Payments

ToyRental.ca does not collect, hold, manage, release, guarantee, process, refund, or distribute rental money between hosts and renters.

Rental money, deposits, damage deposits, security deposits, late fees, cleaning fees, delivery fees, pickup fees, repair costs, replacement costs, cancellation charges, and other rental-related payments are handled directly between users.

ToyRental.ca support generally cannot recover rental money, force a refund, return a deposit, collect damages, reverse cash payments, reverse e-transfers, enforce host payment terms, or enforce renter payment obligations.

21. Refund and Credit Support

ToyRental.ca support may review refund and credit requests involving ToyRental.ca fees.

Refunds and credits are governed by the Refund and Credit Policy.

ToyRental.ca generally does not issue cash refunds because of user-to-user rental disputes, host cancellations, renter cancellations, no-shows, bad weather, item condition disputes, item safety disputes, rental money disputes, deposit disputes, damage, theft, loss, injury, death, late return, non-return, missing parts, user dissatisfaction, or changed plans.

Where ToyRental.ca decides that a remedy is appropriate, the normal remedy will usually be a ToyRental.ca credit rather than a cash refund.

ToyRental.ca may consider cash refunds in rare circumstances, including confirmed duplicate ToyRental.ca charges, clear ToyRental.ca payment errors, situations where ToyRental.ca determines a cash refund is appropriate, or situations where a refund is required by applicable law.

22. Dispute Support

ToyRental.ca support may review user disputes for platform purposes, including safety, fraud prevention, moderation, support, policy enforcement, legal compliance, and platform protection.

ToyRental.ca does not guarantee that it will decide, mediate, arbitrate, resolve, compensate, refund, credit, recover, or take action on a user-to-user dispute.

ToyRental.ca does not decide legal liability, negligence, fault, damages, deposit entitlement, repair value, replacement value, insurance coverage, contract rights, ownership rights, or legal remedies between users.

Users remain responsible for their own agreements, records, insurance, legal rights, and remedies.

ToyRental.ca may remove listings, restrict accounts, preserve records, or take other platform action where ToyRental.ca believes a safety concern exists.

ToyRental.ca support does not inspect items, certify safety, provide repair advice, provide medical assistance, investigate accidents as an expert, provide insurance adjustment, or provide emergency response.

24. Message and Communication Support

ToyRental.ca may review messages and attachments where appropriate for support, safety, fraud prevention, moderation, policy enforcement, legal compliance, security, and platform operation.

Users may report messages that are threatening, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, sexual, explicit, fraudulent, misleading, spam, phishing, suspicious, or otherwise policy-violating.

ToyRental.ca may restrict messaging, remove content, warn users, suspend users, terminate accounts, or take other action where appropriate.

25. Review and Rating Support

ToyRental.ca support may review reports involving reviews or ratings.

ToyRental.ca may remove, hide, restrict, or moderate reviews that ToyRental.ca believes are fake, misleading, retaliatory, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, unrelated to a real rental experience, containing private information, or otherwise violating policy.

ToyRental.ca does not guarantee removal of a review simply because another user disagrees with it, dislikes it, believes it is unfair, or believes it affects reputation.

26. Technical Support

ToyRental.ca support may review technical issues involving the website, account access, forms, listings, uploads, photos, booking tools, messaging, notifications, checkout, reviews, search, maps, location tools, or mobile display.

  • Browser type.
  • Device type.
  • Approximate time of the issue.

ToyRental.ca does not guarantee that every technical issue will be fixed, that data will be recovered, that listings will be restored, that messages will be restored, that uploads will be recovered, or that platform access will be uninterrupted.

27. Moderation and Enforcement Support

ToyRental.ca may use support requests, user reports, messages, listing content, booking records, payment records, technical records, public information, third-party notices, law enforcement requests, payment processor notices, and other information to make moderation and enforcement decisions.

ToyRental.ca is not required to restore accounts, listings, reviews, messages, credits, refunds, features, or platform access.
